Jessie Archibald Somers was born on October 12th, 1869 in 8 Coopers Row, Tower Hill, London.1   Jessie Archibald Somers' father was Alexander Mouat and her mother was Janet  Drysdale.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Mouat and Janet  Cunningham Sommers; her maternal grandparents were William Drysdale and Janet Archibald. She had two brothers named Alexander and Lawrence.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died due to a medical problem, Uterine Myomer (Fibroid Tumours of the Ovaries), at the age of 40 on June 26th, 1910 in 3 North Street, Alloa.2
