William was born in 1845 in Fladbury, Worcestershire and his christening took place there on March 29th, 1846.1  William's father was Edmund Izod and his mother was Harriet Vale.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Izod and Ann Boulter; his maternal grandparents were William Vale and Jane Hewlett. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Alfred, The Thatcher, Charles, Jane and Lucinda.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 50 on October 9th, 1895.  He was buried on October 12th, 1895 in Fladbury Churchyard.
