Thomas, known as The Thatcher, was born on December 11th, 1863 in Fladbury, Worcestershire.1  The Thatcher's father was Edmund Izod and his mother was Harriet Vale.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Izod and Ann Boulter; his maternal grandparents were William Vale and Jane Hewlett. He had three brothers and two sisters, named William, Alfred, Charles, Jane and Lucinda.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 80 on December 11th, 1943.  The funeral was arranged by A Simpkins, .
