Dorothy's father was Thomas Henry “The Thatcher” Izod and her mother was Millicent Tidmarsh.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Izod and Harriet Vale. She had two brothers named Cecil and Donald.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 83 on September 3rd, 1978 in Ronkswood Hospital, Worcester.  The funeral took place on September 8th, 1978 in Fladbury Church and was arranged by Edwin Hill, Funeral Directors, Pershore.  She was buried on September 8th, 1978 in Fladbury Churchyard.
