He died from cancer, Uraemia, Transitional Cell Carcinoma of Bladder, at the age of 82 on March 22nd, 2007 in Strathcarron Hospice, Denny.  The funeral took place on March 30th, 2007 in Falkirk Crematorium and was arranged by Co-Operative Society.  He was cremated on March 30th, 2007 in Falkirk Crematorium.¹
